an object is thrown vertically upwards and rises to a height of 20 m. calculate (i) the velocity with which the object was thrown upwards, (ii) the time taken by the object to reach the highest point. [g= 10m/s^2

S=20m
g=10m/s² = > a=-10m/s²

Using
v²-u²=2as

2x(-10)x20 =0²-u² (at miximum height v=0)

-400=-u²

U²=400

u =  \sqrt{400}
U=20m/s

Time.
a=(v-u) /t

T=0-20/-10

T=-20/-10=2

T=2 second
