Final velocity, v = 0 m/s

g = -9.8 m/s2

1) Using,

v2−u2=2gs

u2=196

u=14m/s, where u is the velocity with which the object is thrown upwards.

2) Using,

v=u+gt

t=gv−u=1.43 sec
