Given, u = 100 m/s; v = 0 m/s; a = g = -10m/s2

➡Time taken to reach maximum height

t = (v - u)/a = (0 - 100) / (-10) = 10s

➡Maximum height reached is

s = h =  \frac{u}{t {}^{2} }  {at }^{2} \\ (100  \times  10)  +  \frac{1}{2}   \times ( - 10) \times  {10 }^{2}  \\  =1 000 - 500 \\  = 500m

➡Velocity after 5 second

v = u + at = 100 + (-10 x 5)

= 50 m/s
