An object moves 18m in the first 3s,22m in the next 3s and 14m in the last 3 s. What is its average speed?

According to the question,

Total distance travelled by an object

= 18m + 22m + 14m  = 54m

Total time taken by the object to cover 54m

= 3s + 3s + 3s = 9s

Average Speed =\frac {(54 m)}{(9 s)} =6m/s

= 6 m/s (Ans.)

Thus, the average speed of the object will be 6 m/s.
