Answer:average speed =total distance/total time taken

total distance =18+22+14=54

total time taken=3+3+3=9

so avg speed=54/9=6m/s

hope this will help you

Answer:

The average speed of the object will be 6 m/s.

Explanation:

By definition, Average speed is the ratio of the "total distance travelled by an object", to the "total time taken by the object" to cover the distance, or,

\text { Average Speed } = \frac { \text { the total distance travelled by an object } } { \text { the total time taken by the object to cover the distance } }

According to the question,

Total distance travelled by an object

= 18m + 22m + 14m = 54m

Total time taken by the object to cover 54m

= 3s + 3s + 3s = 9s

∴ Average Speed =\frac {(54 m)}{(9 s)} =6m/s

= 6 m/s (Ans.)

Thus, the average speed of the object will be 6 m/s.
