An object moves 18m in the first 3s, 22m in the next 3s and 14m in the last 3s . What is its average speed? (FOLLOW ME FOLLOW BACK)​

By definition, Average speed is the ratio of the "total distance travelled by an object", to the "total time taken by the object" to cover the distance, or,

According to the question,

Total distance travelled by an object

= 18m + 22m + 14m  = 54m

Total time taken by the object to cover 54m

= 3s + 3s + 3s = 9s

∴ Average Speed

= 6 m/s (Ans.)

Thus, the average speed of the object will be 6 m/s.
