Given :-

  • An object moves 26m in the first 3s and 16m in the next 3s

To find :-

  • Average speed of an object

Solution :-

In first case

  • Distance travelled (D1) = 26m
  • Time travel (t1) = 3s

In second case

  • Distance travelled (D2) = 16m
  • Time taken (t2) = 3s

In third case

  • Distance travelled (D3) = 18m
  • Time taken (t3) = 3s

Now, as we know that

  • Average speed is defined as total distance travelled by an object in total amount of time.

  • Average speed measures the average rate of speed over a trip.

So,

Average speed = tatol distance

travelled/total time taken

→ Average speed = D1 + D2 + D3/t1 + t2 + t3

→ Average speed = 26 + 16 + 18/ 3 + 3 + 3

→ Average speed = 60/9

→ Average speed = 6.66m/s

Hence,

  • Average speed of an object i.e 6.66m/s

Given :-

An object moves 26m in the first 3s and 16m in the next 3s . While it travels 18m in the last 3s calculate average speed .

To Find :-

Average Speed Of An Object .

Solution :-

In First Case :-

Distance Traveled { D1 } = 26 metres

Time Taken { t1 } = 3 seconds

In Second Case :-

Distance Traveled { D2 } = 16 metres

Time Taken { t2 } = 3 seconds

In Third Case :-

Distance Traveled { D3 } = 18 metres

Time Taken { t3 } = 3 seconds

Now As We Know That :-

  • Average Speed is defined as total distance traveled by an object in total amount of time .

  • Average Speed measures the average rate of speed over a trip .

So ,

  • Average Speed = Total Distance Traveled / Total Time Taken .
  • Average Speed = D1 + D2 + D3 / t1 + t2 + t3
  • Average Speed = 26 + 16 + 18 / 3 + 3 + 3
  • Average Speed = 60/9
  • Average Speed = 6.66 m/s

Hence ,

Average Speed Of An Object is 6.66 m/s
