4 m/min

Explanation:

avg speed = total distance/ total time

= (10+10)/(2+3)

= 20/5

=4 m/min

Answer:

Average speed is a quantity which is found out by dividing Total Distance traveled by Total time taken.

According to the given question,

  1. Object travels 10 m in 2 minutes
  2. Object travels next 10 m in 3 minutes

Therefore Total distance traveled = 10 m + 10 m = 20 m

Total Time taken = 2 min + 3 min = 5 min

Therefore Average speed of the object is:

→ Avg. Speed = 20 m / 5 min

Avg. Speed = 4 m per minute

Therefore the average speed of the given object is 4 m/min.
