Answer:

Distance = 308 m

Displacement = 0 m

Explanation:

From the question :-

An object is moving in  a circular path of radius 49 m.

The object can complete 3 rounds in 2 min.

To find: distance and displacement after 4 min.

Solution :-

Length of circular path = circumference of circular path

                                      = 2*π*r

                                      = 2*22/7*49

                                      = 44*7

                                      = 308 m

If the object covers 3 complete rounds in 2 min then it will cover 6 complete rounds in 4 min.

So, distance covered by the object in 4 min. = 308 * 6

                                                                          = 1848 m

And displacement = 1848/308

                               = 6 rounds

(The object is returned to its initial position meaning that displacement is 0)

                                = 0 m

Hence, the distance and the displacement of the object moving in the circular path is 308 m and 0 m respectively.
