an object moving in a circular path of radius 10 m and cover exactly half of the circular path then what will be its distance and displacement

Answer:

displacement will be half of the circumference.... so 2πr/2 = 2×22×10/7 = 31.4 m and the distance covered is the shortest path ... so it will be twice the radius so answer is 10×2 = 20 m

Distance:

= \frac{1}{2} *2\pi r  ⇒ (Since only half part is covered)

= \pi × 10

= 3.14 × 10

= 31.4m

Displacement:

= 2r ⇒ (Displacement → shortest path & diameter is the shortest path here)

= 2 × 10

= 20m
