s = ut + 1/2at²

Note: In this formula s is always displacement not the distance but if the direction of motion does not change then displacement is equal to distance for straight line motion. So we can use this formula in this case

Displacement in nth sec is displacement in t= n-1 to t= n sec

S = (un + 0.5an²) - (u(n-1) + 0.5a(n-1)²)

=> S = u(n-n+1) + 0.5a(n²-(n-1)²)

=> S = u + 0.5a(n+n-1)(n-n+1)

=> S = u + 0.5a(2n-1)

Now u = 0 m/s, a = 10 m/s² and n= 3

Therefore s = 0 + 0.5 x 10 x (2 x 3 -1) = 25m
