Given

★ Initial velocity of a body = 10m/s

★Time taken to come in rest = 5 second

★Final velocity becomes 0 , it will come in rest !

To find

The acceleration of body !

By using 1st equation of motion :-

v= u+at

→ 0= 10+ a × 5

→ 0-10= 5a

→ -10= 5 a

→ -10/5= a

→ -2m/s² = a

● Acceleration produced by body = (-2m/s²)

Other equations of motion :-

◐s=ut+ 1/2at²

◐v²=u²+2as

\dagger Answer \dagger

\checkmark Given:

⇒ Initial Velocity ( u ) = 10 m/s

⇒ Time ( t ) = 5 seconds

\checkmark To Find:

⇒ The Acceleration ( a ) of the Object

\checkmark Solution:

We know that,

Equation of Motion

\red{\boxed{\boxed{\sf v=u+at}}}

Obviously,

⇒ Final Velocity ( v ) = 0 m/s

Since,

[The Object comes to Rest]

Given that,

⇒ u = 10 m/s

⇒ t = 5 sec

According to the Question,

We are asked to Find the

Acceleration ( a )

of the Object

So,

Substituting the above values in the above formula

We get,

\orange{\sf \implies 0=10+a(5)}

\orange{\sf \implies 0=10+5a}

\blue{\sf \implies -10=5a}

\pink{\sf \implies 5a=-10}

\pink{\sf \implies a= \dfrac{-10}{5} \ m/s^2}

\orange{\sf \implies a=-2 \ m/s^2}

\purple{\boxed{\boxed{\sf a=-2 \ m/s^2}}}

Hence,

The Acceleration ( a ) of the Object is

a = - 2 m/s²

So,

We can conclude that,

The Object Decelerates by 2 m/s²
