\boxed{\huge\:ANSWER..}

\bf{\underlined\:To\: find \:the \:acceleration.}

Initial velocity (u) = 10m/s

Final velocity (v) = 0

Because at last the object comes at rest.

Time taken = 5sec.

Acceleration = v - u / t

= 0 - 10 / 5

= -10/5

= -2m/s^2

Here , negative sign indicates that this is Retardation.

initial velocity=10m per second
final velocity =0 it comes to rest
time =5sec
by using 1st
v = u +at
0=10+a*5
-10=a*5
a=-10/5
a=-2
negative sign indicate that it is retardation
