Answer:

S= 24m

Explanation:

Since, S = ut + 1/2at²

where

S= Distance

u = 10m/s

a= -2m/s²

& t= 6sec

By substituting in the formula we get 24m

Given

》Intial Velocity-10m/s

》Acceleration_ -2m/s^2

》Time- 6sec

To find distance:-

》Let distance travelled be s.

Calculation

According to Newton's second law of motion,

>> S = ut + 1/2 at^2

S = (10m/s)(6 sec) + 1/2 (-2m/s^2)(6s)^2

S = 60m + (-36m)

S = 60m - 36m

S = 24m.

Remark- Newton's second law of motion is also called Position- time graph.
