Newton's lens equation:

f² = x1 × x2

∴ F² = x·x′

=> x′ = F²/x

Also, x = u - F, x′ = v - F

=> u = x + F

& v = x′ + F = F²/x + F = (F² + Fx)/x = F(x + F)/x

We know, m = I/O = v/u

=> m = F(x + F)/x × 1/(x + F) = F/x (ans).

Hope it helped :)
