Object high H1 = 1cm

Image height  H2 = 1.5cm

Object distance u = -15cm (object is taken behind the mirror)

Since, magnification = image height/object height,

M = H2/H1 = 1.5/1 = 1.5

Since, also, magnification = image distance/ object distance

=> 1.5 = image distance/-15

=> image distance = -22.5cm

=>22.5 cm behind the mirror
