Answer :-

Given :-

  • Mass = 100 kg
  • Height = 10 m
  • Acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

To Find :-

  • Work done

Solution :-

We know that,

Work done = Mass × Height × Acceleration due to gravity

Here, we are given mass, height and acceleration due to gravity. So, by simply substituting the values in formula, we can find work done by the lift :-

→ Work done = 100 × 10 × 9.8

→ Work done = 100 × 98

→ Work done = 9800

Work done by lift = 9800 J
