An object of 4 cm high is placed at a distance of 6 cm in front of a concave mirror of focal length 12 cm. Find the position,nature and size of the image formed.

O=4 cm(+) , u=6 cm (-) ,f=12cm(-)
using formula: 1/f=1/v-1/u
1/v =1/(-12)+1/(-6)
v=-12/3
v= -4
image is placed 4 cm in front of the Lens i.e. at the side of the object
image is diminshed ,virtual and erect.
using formula: I/O=v/u
I=(-4*4)/-6
I=16/6 = 2.66
image is of 2.66 cm of size
