An object of 500 kg mass is dragged for 40 m on a horizontal rough surface. If 50,000 calorie friction heat is produced, calculate the frictional force experience by the object (assume 1 cal = 4.2 J).

Frictional force on the body is F=μmg=0.2×5×9.8=9.8N

Distance covered is d=5m.

As work done is F.d=9.8×5=49 joule
