Given:-

→Mass of the object=75kg

Initial velocity of the object=4m/s

→Final velocity of the object=8m/s

Time=2s

To find:-

→Change in momentum of the object

Solution:-

While solving this problem,we will denote change in momentum of the object by p

We know that:-

=>p=Final momentum-Initial momentum

=>p=mv-mu

=>p=m(v-u)

=>∆p=75(8-4)

=>∆p=75(4)

=>∆p=300kg m/s

Thus,change in momentum of the object is 300kg m/s.

Some Extra Information:-

Momentum:

•Momentum is the quantity of motion contained in a body.

•Momentum is the product of mass and velocity of a body.

•Momentum is denoted by p

=>p=mv

•Momentum is a vector quantity.

•S.I. unit of momentum is kg m/s.
