Answer:

height of object = 10cm

u object distance = -30cm

f focal length = -8cm

by formula

1/f = 1/v+1/u

i.e. 1/v = 1/f - 1/u

i.e. 1/v = 1/-8 - 1/-30

i.e. 1/v = -1/8 + 1/30

i.e. 1/v = -15/120 + 4/120

i.e. 1/v = -11/120

i.e. v = 120/-11

i.e. v = -10.91 cm

Therefore the image is formed on the same side i.e. in front of mirror at the distance of 10.91 cm.

As the image is formed on the same side the image is real and inverted.
