Given that, image distance (u) from the mirror is -36 cm, height of object (h) is 10 cm and focal length (f) of concave mirror is -12 cm.

We have to find the position, nature and height of the image formed.

Using the Mirror formula:

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

Substitute the values,

→ 1/(-12) = 1/v + 1/(-36)

→ 1/v = -1/12 + 1/36

→ 1/v = (-3 + 1)/36

→ 1/v = -2/36

→ v = -18

Therefore, the image distance from the mirror is 18 cm.

Also, using Magnification formula:

m = -v/u

Substitute the values,

→ m = -(-18)/(-36)

→ m = - 0.5

Also, m = h'/h

→ -0.5 = h'/10

→ -5 = h'

Therefore, the height of the image is 5 cm.

Nature of the image: The image formed is real, inverted and smaller in size.
