Given:-

  • Object - height , ho = 12 cm

  • Magnification ,m = -3

To Find :-

  • Height of image , hi

Solution:-

As we know that Magnification is the defined as the ratio of height of image to the ratio of height of object.

The image formed by concave mirror is real that why we take here magnification negative.

m = hi/ho

Substitute the value we get

→ -3 = hi/(12)

→ hi = -3×(12)

→ hi = -36 cm

Therefore ,the height of the image is 36 cm .
