an object of height 2.4 cm is placed before a concave mirror of focal length 25 CM so that image is formed at a distance of 75 cm find the position of an object what will be the height of the image formed​

ho - 2.4 cm

f = -25 cm

v = -75 cm

u = ?

hi = ?

1/f = 1/v + 1/u ( mirror formula)

1/u = 1/f - 1/v

     = 1/75 - 1/25

     = 25-75/ 25x75

     = -50/ 1875

     = -1/37.5

u = -37.5 cm

m = hi/ho = v/u

= hi/2.4 = -75/-37.5

= hi = -75x2.4/-37.5

= hi = 4.8 cm

Therefore, the height of the image formed is 4.8 cm.
