Question;-

An object of height 2 CM is placed at a distance of 15 centimetre from a concave mirror of focal length 10 centimeter. Draw a scale diagram to locate the image. From the diagram, find the length of the image formed.

Given;-

  • According to new certesian sign convection object distance (U) =-15cm

  • Focal length of the concave mirror, f=-10 cm

  • Height of the object, h0 =2 cm

Answer;-

★According to Suitable Formula;-

\frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}

\frac{1}{10} = -\frac{1}{15}+\frac{1}{v}

\frac{1}{v} = -\frac{3+2}{30}

\boxed{\boxed{{v = -30 cm}}}

⇢\frac{Height\:of\:image}{Height\:of\:object} =\frac{-v}{u}

⇢\frac{Height\:of\:image}{2} =\frac{-30}{15}

Height\:of\:image= - 4cm

⇢Nature - Real\:and\:inverted

⇢Position - {30}\:cm\:from\:concave\: mirror

\boxed{\boxed{{∴Size = 4 cm}}}
