Answer:

height of image is 1cm

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:- height of object(H)=2cm, focal length(f)=15cm, object distance (u)= -45cm

let height of image(H')=x cm,image distance= v.

FORMULA USED: 1/v-1/u=1/f

now, 1/v+1/45=1/15

1/v=1/15-1/45

LCM is 45.

therefore, 1/v=(3-1)/45

1/v=2/45

v=45/2 cm

now magnification (m)= v/u =H'/H

now put value of v,u and H

(45/2)/-45=H'/2

-1/2=H'/2

after cross multiplication,we get

H'= -1 cm

height of image is 1 cm and inverted image
