An object of height 5 cm is placed at a distance of 10 cm from convex mirror of focal length 15 cm. Find the position, nature and size of an image.Solve the given problem.

We have to find image distance.

We know :

1 / f = 1 / v + 1 / u

1 / v = 1 / f - 1 / u

1 / v = 1 / 15 + 1 / 10

v = + 6 cm

Hence .image distance is 6 cm from the mirror behind it.

The image is erect and virtual.
