Hi !
Object height = h = +5cm
Image distance = u = -25 cm
Focal length = f = -10 cm
Image distance = v = ?
Mirror formula ,
1/v + 1/u = 1/f
1/v = 1/f - 1/u
= -1/10 - (-1/25)
= -1/10 +1/25
= -5 +2/50
= -3/50
v = -50/3
= -16.6 cm (approx.)
m = -v/u
= -(-16.6)/-25
= -0.664
As the magnification(m) is negative , the image formed is real,inverted and is at a distance of 16.6 cm from the mirror.
The image is real , inverted and is at a distance of 16.6 cm from the mirror.
