Given :-

  • Height of object (ho) = + 5cm
  • Object distance (u) = -15cm
  • Image distance (v) = + 10cm

To find :-

  • Focal length (f)

Solution :-

According to the Mirror Formula

→ 1/v + 1/u = 1/f

→ 1/10 - 1/15 = 1/f

→ 1/f = 3 - 2/30

→ 1/f = 1/30

→ f = +30cm

Hence,

  • Focal length of convex mirror is + 30cm

Extra Information

  • Magnification of Mirror
  • m = -v/u = hi/ho
