m= 100kg
v1= 5m/s
v2= 8m/s
t= 6 sec
so
initial momentum p1 = mv1 = 100×5 =500kg m/s
final momentum p2 = mv2= 100×8 = 800kg m/s
Also , the magnitude of force exerted is
F =(p2-p1)/t
= (800-500)/6
= 300/6
= 50N
