An object of mass 100kg is accelerated uniformly from a velocity of 5m/s to 8m/s in 6s. Calculate the initial and final momentum of the object.

u= 5m/s

v= 8m/s

m= 100kg

t= 6s

mu= 100×5 = 500kg m/s

mv= 100×8 = 800kg m/s

F = mv-mu/t

= m(v-u) /t

= 800-500/6
