mgh = kinetic energy = 300 (given)

When object is about to strike the ground the object have highest kinetic Energy that is equal to initial potential Energy of that object = 300 j

Potential Energy = 300 j

=> mgh = 300 j

=>10 × 10 × h = 300

h = 300/100

h = 3 m.
