We need to write down the necessary formulas to solve this question.

The necessary formulas are given as :

Impulse = mass × change in velocity

Now change in velocity = final velocity - initial velocity.

We can also say that :

Impulse = Change in momentum

And the formula for getting momentum is given as :

Momentum = mass × Velocity

Given that the object acquires 10m/s the change in velocity is given as 10.

Mass = 1 kg

Change in velocity = 10

Doing the substitution we have :

Impulse = 1 × 10 = 10

= 10 Kgms⁻¹
