An object of mass 2 kg is kept near the surface of the earth. Earth attracts the object with a force of 20 N.
i) What is the force with which the object attracts the earth towards itself?
ii) Why does the object move towards the earth?

(i) F=MA

m=2kg :a=g=9.8m/s or approx 10

F=2x 10

F=20N.

(ii) because of the force exerted by the earth towards it.this force is called gravitational force.
