linear momentum :- it is a vector quantity. product of mass and velocity gives linear momentum. e.g., \vec{P}=m\vec{v}

here , an object of mass 20kg is accelerated uniformly form a velocity of 5m/s to 8m/s .
so, initial linear momentum , \vec{P_i}=m\vec{v_i}
= 20 × 5 = 100 kgm/s

final linear momentum = 20 × 8 = 160 kgm/s
