  • The total energy of a freely falling body remains constant.
  • As the body falls from a height its potential energy keeps changing in the kinetic energy therefore the kinetic energy increases.
  • If there is no gravity then potential energy which is m*g*h will be zero as g will be zero. Here m is the mass, g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the height. The total energy of the body will be only its kinetic energy.
