An object of mass 200gm falls from 5 meters calculate the kinetic energy of an object before it reaches the ground ( g = 9.8m/s square)

PE=(0.2kg)(10m/sec^2)(5m)=10J

When it reaches the ground it no longer has potential energy (PE) so the kinetic energy =10J. The energy is converted from potential energy to kinetic energy.
