  • Tension in the wire is 394.78 N.

Given-

Mass of the object (m) = 2 kg

Length of the wire in which the object is revolved = 5 m

Angular speed (ω) = 60 rpm

Angular speed is given in rotation per minute, we have to convert it into rotation per second so,

Angular speed (ω) = 60 / 60 = 1 rps (rotation per second)

Now,

ω = 1 × 2π = 2π rad/ sec

And we know that tension (T) = mrω² , where m is the mass of the object and r is the radius.

T = 2 × 5 × 4π²

T  =  394.78  N
