Given:

Mass of the object = 2 kg

Initial height of the object = 10m

Potential energy at initial height = 200J

To find:

Kinetic energy and potential energy at 4m.

Solution:

From energy conservation:

Potential energy at height of 10m = Kinetic energy + Potential energy at height of 4m

Potential energy at height of 10m = 200

Let kinetic energy at 4m = KE

And potential energy at 4m = PE

Then: 200 = KE + PE

Potential energy at height of 4m = m*g*h = 2*10*4 = 80J

Then KE = 200 - 80 = 120J

Therefore the kinetic energy is 120J and potential energy is 80J at height = 4m.
