An object of mass 5 kg is accelerated uniformly from a velocity of 4m/s to 8m/s in 8s. Calculate the initial and final momentum of the object. Also, find the magnitude of the force exerted on the object.

Hey mate first you have to find the initial and final momentum

Initial momentum (p1)=m1*v1

=5*4

=20kg m/s

Final Momentum(p2)=m2*v2

=5*8

=40kg m/s

Force = p2-p1/t

=(40-20)/8

=20/8

=2.5 N

Ans. The initial momentum is 20 kg m/s, final momentum is 40 kg m/s and the force is 2.5 Newtons.
