An object of mass 5 Kg is moving with a velocity of 20 m/s. What would be the work done to stop the moving object?

Hey buddy here's ur answer....

we have,,, W = m×v^2

W= 5× (20)^2

W= 5× 400

W= 2000joules..

Solution:

We know that,
Work done (W) = change in kinetic energy
W = 1/2mv^2 - 1/2mu^2
W = 1/2 x 5 x 20^2 - 0
W = 1/2 x 5 x 20 x 20
W = 1000 J.
