ANSWER

Mass of the object, m=10 kg

Mass of the object, m=10 kgAcceleration due to gravity at earth, g

Mass of the object, m=10 kgAcceleration due to gravity at earth, g e =9.8 ms −2

∴ Weight of the object on earth, W=mg

∴ Weight of the object on earth, W=mg e =10×9.8=98 N

Acceleration due to gravity at moon, g

Acceleration due to gravity at moon, g m = 61 ×9.8

=1.63 ms −2

∴ Weight of the object on moon, W=mg m=10×1.63=16.3 N
