If the object is allowed to fall.Find it's Kinetic energy when it is half way down....

We know that potential energy=mgh.
⇒80kg×10m×9.8m/s²
⇒7840 J
There is an interesting approach in finding the kinetic energy when it is halfway down;by using the law of conservation of energy.Let's assume that the object is in free fall.So at any point of time the sum of potential and kinetic energy is equal to 7840 J.When it is halfway below its potential energy and kinetic energy are equal.So,
⇒Kinetic energy=7840/2 J
⇒3920
