momentum of object at the highest point of its journey is 10 Kgm/s.

It has given that an object of mass m is thrown with a velocity u m/s at 60° at the horizontal. the momentum of the object when it was thrown was 20 Kgm/s.

we have to find the momentum at the highest point of its journey.

initial momentum = mu = 20 Kgm/s .......(1)

velocity of object at the highest point of its journey is ucos60° ( along x-axis)

the momentum of object at the highest point of its journey = mucos60°

from equation (1) we get,

= mu × (1/2)

= mu/2

= 20/2 = 10 Kgm/s

therefore, momentum of object at the highest point of its journey is 10 Kgm/s.
