Answer :

Height of object = 10cm

Distance of object = 15cm

Focal length = 10cm

Type of lens : convex

We have to find position and size of the image.

Focal length of convex mirror is taken positive.

Position of image :

➝ 1/v - 1/u = 1/f

  • u = distance of object
  • v = distance of image
  • f = focal length

➝ 1/v - 1/(-15) = 1/10

➝ 1/v = 1/10 - 1/15

➝ 1/v = (3-2)/30

v = 30 cm

Size of image :

➝ m = v/u = h'/h

  • h' = height of image
  • h = height of object

➝ 30/(-15) = h'/10

➝ -2 = h'/10

h' = -20 cm

Negative sign shows that image is real and inverted.
