Therefore the coordinates of new position is (10, 3, 2) .

Given : An object, originally at the point (2, 5, 1) cm is moved by vector (8i-2j+k) cm.

To find : The coordinates of its new position.

solution : as it is given An object is initially located at (2, 5, 1) cm. it is moved by vector (8i - 2j + k)cm.

so final position of the object = initial position + (8i - 2j + k)

= (2i + 5j + k ) + (8i - 2j + k)

= 10i + 3j + 2k

Therefore the coordinates of new position is (10, 3, 2).
