an object placed 10cm in front of a plan mirror Is moved 4cm towards the the mirror. find the distance between the new position of the object and it's image.

the distance between the new position of the object and its image will be 12 CM

Explanation:

as the mirror is a plane mirror and distance of the object from the mirror is equal to the distance of the image from the mirror and if the object is moved 4 cm towards the mirror, the new distance of the object from the mirror will be 6 cm and and this will be same for the distance of image.
