focal length  f= 12cm

image distance v= ?

According to the mirror formula

 1/v+1/u=1/f

 1/v + 1/-4 = 1/-12

 1/v= -1/12+1/4= (-1+3)12=2/12

so we get 1/v=1/6 so v will be 6 as it gets reciprocaled.....

The image is formed 6 cm behind the mirror and is virtual and erect
