Answer:

Distance of the object from mirror

= 4 + 0.4

= 4.4 m

Distance of the image from mirror

= 4 + 0.4

= 4.4 m

Distance of the object and image

= 4.4 + 4.4

= 8.8m

Therefore option d is correct.

Answer:

8.8 m

Explanation:

In a plane mirror, the image is at the same distance behind the mirror as the objevt is in front of it.

As here the object is placed at a distance of 4m + 0.4 m = 4.4 m , then the image will also be form at a distance of 4.4 m from behind the mirror.

So , the distance between the object and its mirror will be 4.4 m * 2 = 8.8 m
