{\red{\underline{\underline{\bold{Given:-}}}}}

  • Initial velocity ,u = 0m/s (rest)
  • Acceleration ,a = 2m/s²
  • Time taken ,t = 4s

{\blue{\underline{\underline{\bold{To Find:-}}}}}

  • Distance travelled ,s

{\green{\underline{\underline{\bold{Solution:-}}}}}

According to the Question

It is given that the object start from rest & accelerate at 2m/s² for 4 s. we have to calculate the distance covered by object in this case. Using 2nd equation of motion

  • s = ut + 1/2at²

where

  • v is the final velocity
  • a is the acceleration
  • u is the initial velocity
  • t is the time taken
  • s is the distance covered

Substitute the value we get

:\implies s = 0×4 + 1/2× 2 × 4²

:\implies s = 0 + 1/2× 2 × 16

:\implies s = 16 m

  • \large\pink{{\underline{\boxed{\textbf{Hence,\:the\:distance\: covered\: by\: the\: object\: is\: 16metres}}}}}

Given :-

An object starting from rest moves with an acceleration of 2 m/s²

To Find :-

Distance travelled after 4 sec

Solution :-

We know that

s = ut + 1/2 × at²

s = (0)(4) + 1/2 × 2 × (4)²

s = 0 + 1/2 × 2 × 16

s = 0 + 16

s = 16

Hence

Distance travelled by the object after 4 second is 16 m
